Photo Gallery and Stories and Comments
Imagine stepping back in time for a day, to an era when early pastoralists were establishing themselves in the mountains around Omeo. Gippsland High Country Tours is privileged to be able to offer you a day to explore this history first hand at Bindi Station where early station buildings have been lovingly preserved and the Armit family can pass on stories of a bygone era.
The setting is picture perfect, plantations of trees around the homestead and out-buildings will be turning to their autumn glory in late April and behind them a backdrop of mountains sets the scene as the Tambo Rivers flows gently past.
Bindi is private property and a working sheep and cattle station that is not open to the public, so this is a rare opportunity. Discover pioneer workmanship in the buildings, appreciate the history that has been preserved and the memories that go with it.
Single day, departs and returns to Bairnsdale, travelling with a local guide in a minibus. Includes Lunch plus morning and afternoon tea.
Maximum of 11 participants.
