Imagine sitting beside a cool mountain stream watching for high country birds one day, then the next day wandering along an unspoilt sandy beach to explore a rocky headland as a Sea Eagle glides overhead.  Jenny has teamed up with long-time friend and colleague Dr Tonia Cochrane of Inala Nature Tours to offer a whole week of nature experiences exploring across East Gippsland and we will both be leading this tour. This is only longer tour we are offering this year – but what a beauty!

Parts of the week long itinerary will visit areas burnt almost three years ago in the Summer 2019-20 bushfires when large swathes of East Gippsland burnt under extreme weather conditions. Our visit will support local businesses and be an opportunity to appreciate the amazing regrowth and profusion of spring wildflowers. In addition the itinerary includes many areas that were not fire affected at all.

From the Snowy River National Park in the mountains to the Gippsland Lakes and Croajingolong on the coast, we will visit a wide diversity of landscapes and habitats.  Learn about threatened species recovery programs, discover birdlife and spring wildflower displays as well as meeting local wildlife and gaining an insight into how both nature and local communities recover from fire.  Add a generous sprinkling of history, a waterfall or two, plus time to pause and soak up breathtaking landscapes for a very rewarding and enlightening week.

Note that with a Melbourne departures (and return) point, this is extra convenient for those coming from interstate with no need to arrange connecting travel. Fully accommodated every night, so let us take care of the detail while you immerse yourself in nature experiences.

Jenny and Tonia will both be leading this tour, so you will have a wealth of knowledge available to you. Contact Jenny for more information or book directly with Inala Nature Tours.

Maximum of 10 participants.
