Nature Tours (or Easy Walking Ecotours)

Imagine, time to immerse yourself in nature, breathe in the fresh air and listen to the quiet of natural world.  We think of these easy ecotours as “slow travel”, perfect for curious nature lovers.

Lots of amazing experiences await on these small group ecotours that allow you to discover and learn about nature at a relaxed pace. You can spend the days exploring on easy walks, then return to cosy accommodation every night. Even your meals appear as if by magic on these all-inclusive tours!

Join our friendly and inclusive groups of 4-10 participants. Local guides share their love and knowledge of wildlife, history, wildflowers, birds and much more, so you return home not just refreshed, but better informed.

Mallacoota & Croajingolong in Springtime

Springtime around Mallacoota at the far east tip of Victoria promises great birdwatching, wildlife experiences and spring wildflowers displays in Croajingolong National Park. Like much of East Gippsland, Mallacoota, Gipsy Point and the surrounding area were impacted by bushfires in the horror summer of 2019-20, so fire impacts will be obvious but nature’s regeneration is fascinating and beauty is returning, if somewhat different to before.  Fully accommodated at Gipsy Point Lodge.

East Gippsland Nature Tour

Easy-moderate grade walks. A reasonable level of fitness is required.

Jenny is teaming up with Tonia from Inala Nature Tours, to offer a week of nature experiences exploring from Snowy River National Park in the mountains to the Gippsland Lakes and Croajingolong on the coast.  The summer 2019-20 bushfires tore through large swathes of East Gippsland under extreme weather conditions and we visit both burnt and unburnt areas.  Learn about threatened species recovery programs, discover birdlife and spring wildflower displays as well as meeting local wildlife and gaining an insight into how both nature and local communities recover from fire.  Add a generous sprinkling of history, a waterfall or two, plus time to pause and soak up breathtaking landscapes for a very rewarding and enlightening week.

Small group, max 4. You don’t have to be an experienced birdwatcher, enthusiastic novices are most welcome and it is a great way to gain experience and learn more about birds and birdwatching.
